Hi my name is Chloe i am sixteen years old and was diagnosed with stage III neuroblastoma in March 2010.
It began when I started to get pains in my lower back and I assumed it was a reocurring kidney problem.
After an ultrasound two masses were found in my abdomen after many tests including a biopsy,ct scan etc I was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. I underwent intense chemotherapy which unfortunately didnt shrink the tumour so surgery was brought forward.
The surgery removed half of the tumour but all couldnt be safely removed. I then underwent MIBG Radiotherapy in London which reduced the size of the tumour by a third. I have just finished 22 sessions of external radiotherapy to try and kill off the remaining tumour. I am starting a 6 month course of Retonoric Acid Therapy in a month time.
Regards Chloe
