Megan Sudbury
Megan is my beautiful 6 year old daughter my youngest of 4 children. Megan loves life, she enjoys and is doing well at school, Meg enjoys dancing, singing and loves animals. she has many friends. We are a very close family and Megan is the noise, laughter and michief in our household! Throughout her gruelling treatment she has remained happy and always has smile on her face she has touched the heart of all who have met her. Megan was diagnosed with stage 3 thoracic neuroblastoma, an agressive childhood cancer, in April 2011. Meg has had 7 cycles of chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy she is now on a 6 month course of retinoic acid, and at present there is no evidence of disease. Due to the aggressiveness of Neuroblastoma, Megan has a unacceptable risk of relapsing. Meg has had her stem cells harvested which will be transplanted if she relapses. After this there is no treatment available in the uk and we will be left with no option except to seek treatment abroard. I want to remain positive that Megan will not relapse but i have to be realistic - children do die from neuroblastoma. My aim is to have a fund available for Megan if she requires treatment abroard, this can be very expensive and can cost in excess of £300,000. I am appealing to you to help support Megan. My darling daughter has great plans for her future and it breaks my heart that her life could be so cruelly cut short. Thankyou for reading this and Thankyou for your support. With love Alison megans Mummy
